LOVE SHOULD BE PERFECT.

LOVE SHOULD BE PERFECT.

And yet it never is.

A long time ago when I was living in Seattle, Washington I was attending a church in Kent with a pastor that I adored. I learned so much from Pastor Jack. He was focused on teaching the congregation about blessings, about our glory and how that translated into the law of attraction.

I still make use of his teachings today with my clients almost daily and in my shares here with you as well.

Among my favorite things he shared were,

“More than enough with plenty left over.”

Which always commanded in the belief and feeling that we are always provided for,

that we always have more than enough in the things that we need with plenty left to share.

And that the leftovers are there for us to do just that …..SHARE.

And then his other reminder of truth that I have kept in my heart and mind all these years was focused toward relationships….

The relationship of marriage.

And in today’s world,

which even though greatly different than that of just 15 years ago when Pastor Jack was preaching his wisdom to me,

is still all the same.

His words of truth were simple.

“Marry your best friend.”

Those words made me look at my marriage,

and perhaps were words that supported me to divorce a few years later.  Although back then I would have felt the need to confirm that I was best friends with my then husband,

the reality was not that we were best friends.

We got along on a ton of items,

but I found that I had to restrict myself in so many ways,

and that was not friendship,

and certainly not best friends.

When I am working with couples today in my coaching practice many come to me troubled and on the cusp of a breaking up because of so many things…

*Not enough sex or bad sex.

*Financial issues.

*Abuse of one kind or another.

*Affairs.

*Lack of sexual desire.

And most couples will start off their tale by telling me that they are best friends with their spouse,

that they can tell them anything,

that they have fantastic communication.

But….

fill in the blank from above list here.

They believe that if they had more sex/better sex or a stronger desire for their partner,

if they were physically attracted more to them,

if they had more money in the bank,

or what have you that their marriage would be perfect.

Now the reality is that if you are in an abusive relationship ( no matter what that looks like) that chances are you need to get out of it because an abusive partner often does not see their wrong and change,

if you are in a relationship that has suffered from infidelity,

There can be work done and you can repair it and even come back stronger than ever before if love and communication/friendship is at the front stage of both parties minds.

The desire for more sex, better sex or having more desire for your partner… .these things can be detrimental if the friendship and love are not there first and if both parties are not open to raw, real discussions based in truth and love to work on these challeneges,

but if both parties are wanting the connection and can be emotionally mature to take responsibility for self and speak their truth and work together on these items,

then you can have a deeply strong bond and the sex and desire can grow from it.

The relationships that come to me wanting these things,

often have one MAJOR obstacle however…

One partner is stubborn and refuses to see the truth.

Refuses to take the matter seriously or take the time and effort required to build this part of the relationship. They don’t believe that it is their problem and that the other partner is to blame for it and needs the fixing.

However that is never the case.

Relationships are always a two way street.

It always requires both people to want to connect and come together. It requires both parties to take responsibility for themselves and to not get caught up in their old wounds from the past.

Unfortunately, this is where the relationship breaks down.

People often don’t want to do this.

They want the easy street and they say,

“Love should be easy.”

“Love should be perfect.”

We are all human.

And there is no such thing as the perfect human.

If you have a list of fifty qualities that you want and count highly important in a mate,

and you believe that you will get ALL of these qualities in one person and until you get them all that you will not settle,

I ask you to look in the mirror and ask of yourself if you exhibit all fifty of them yourself?

You are never going to find someone who is 100% of those qualities a hundred percent of the time.

They are human.

You are human.

And life changes and transforms us.

Some qualities can be developed over time.

Some are just there and a natural part of who we are,

some are based on energetic connections,

while others have everything to do with our gene pool.

If you are counting any of these qualities as love though,

you are mistaken.

Qualities do not define love.

They add to love.

They sweeten the pot.

Love is something that you cannot explain,

nor does it need to be explained.

It just is.

And when it is felt on both sides now you have something special.

LOVE COMES FROM BEING ABLE TO BE YOURSELF WITH SOMEONE ELSE, UNMASKED.

When we can do this with someone,

we feel acceptance and love for self and it translates to “loving someone else” because we see the reflection of what we are feeling for self as what we see coming or going toward another.

When we “fall in love” or catch feels for someone,

what is actually happening is that we are witnessing ourselves in love. We are falling in love with self and this other person is simply helping us see our own beauty.

That is why the best friend statement is so powerful.

In friendship there is an acceptance, an unconditional love.

It goes past all that life can change for us,

like our physical bodies appearance,

our health or financial status,

it looks past our ups and downs and even past the chemical connectors that we have on the front side of a romantic relationship that over the course of three to five years diminish and change.

But for some reason, we humans believe that love should be perfect.

That these connecting chemicals should ALWAYS be there,

that the energy and excitement of the first kiss is the way that we will remain throughout all of time,

that the person who is standing before us perfect in their skin of today will never change,

that the feelings that we are having will just remain unwavering.

Or that if we do not have all these sudden rushes of ignition but that we do deeply care and connect in all other ways that this is not or cannot be real love.

That it is “ONLY FRIENDSHIP” and we in turn lower it to that level and get frustrated that we cannot find Mr. or Mrs. Perfect that checks all of our boxes on our list of fifty all of the time.

And so we remain living in search of something that has been offered to us repeatedly.  Believing that if we explore,

if we open ourselves to the love that is there before us and go as deep as we can with it that we are settling,

we are giving up,

that if they don’t have everything that they are not Mr. or Mrs. Perfect and instead are a waste of our precious time.

What we are doing to ourselves in this is denying ourselves the beauty of discovery of love.

Love is a quest of self.

Love is about finding out who we really are through our relating with another.

It is about meeting all aspects of self,

and without relationship we will never meet our authentic selves at any depth.

When we continue to look for perfection in a mate,

What we are actually saying is that we ourselves are not worthy of our own love until we become PERFECT as well.

So how will you ever find Mr. or Mrs. Perfect if you prevent yourself from growing into your whole beautiful self by denying  love to be birthed through a relationship with another imperfect human who is there as your teacher of self love?

Chances are your relationship with anyone will not last  in a forever sense.

That reality although harsh is still a reality.

We outgrow each other,

and as we change sometimes our mates choose a path of slower or limited growth that creates a breaking point in the relationship,

but if we have come together in friendship and love,

then even the parting is done in the same fashion.

And we each can gain what we need for our own development.

It’s time that we start to view relationships and even marriage as the opportunity to explore self and learn to love deeply through the witnessing of another that rivets us deeper into our truth.

Love is always perfect.

It is always perfect for the moment that the relationship is in.

It is never easy,

but it can always be in flow with who we are.

We create our own obstacles to feeling it by trying to make it perfect in every moment and getting irritated with the reality that love, true love requires each party to grow in connection with self first.

Where does your love stand?

It Takes Courage To Have An Authentic Relationship.

IT TAKES COURAGE TO HAVE AN AUTHENTIC RELATIONSHIP.

I have this belief that ALL…

Yes ALL people who are in an intimate relationship with another need to go through the inquiry and inner work as well and relating work  that those who have successful open relationships do.

I believe that no matter how you label your relationship,

that you should explore authentic relating for what it really means.

Most monogamous couples “think” they know each other.

“Think” they love each other unconditionally.

“Think” they are best friends and trust each other.

“Think” they are doing it right and will have success.

Most people who decide to open up their relationships choose to do so at a low period in their primary relationship and “think” that opening up will fix something.

“Think” that you can just overnight shift gears and that this thing called inner work and couples work to set agreements, learn each other and communicate are not needed.

That you can go zero to 100 overnight so to speak.

Both cases are detrimental to the relationship.

And it’s because the number one issue in relationships is communication.

And I am sure you may be among the many who believes that you communicate well with your partner.

You may think that you got this fully taken care of ,

but I ask you, is this true?

98% of couples that I have worked with over the last 15+ years come in telling me that they are good if not great communicators,

that their partner is their bestie and they can tell them anything.

But not three sessions into coaching and the truth is discovered.

They suck at communication.

Because they keep it at a surface level.

There is no depth in relating.

And if they touch on depth,

it causes confrontation,

triggers old wounds and fears,

and both parties end up dancing in their ego’s and speaking from their pain bodies instead of their heart centers.

So they avoid it.

They shut their truth down,

they tell their partners a softer version or nothing at all,

and they hide the best they can from themselves for as long as they can as to not rock the perfect picture of a loving connected relationship that they are wanting to paint.

When the hard fact is that they have challenges.

It takes courage to speak up in a relationship.

It takes courage to be real in a relationship.

It takes courage to listen without trying to change, control or freak out about what might be being shared in a relationship.

It takes courage to remain stable inside yourself when living authentically with another.

And it takes courage to be raw and real with yourself so you can do all the above.

But f-ck is it worth it,

just like you are worth it and so is your relationship.

You see, if you are among the many who are not operating at this level of authentic relationship but desire open communication, unconditional love, acceptance, honesty and truth in the relationship and from your partner,

then how is it ever going to be possible if you live hiding from yourself and basing your feelings and actions in fear of losing your partner?

If you are making your partner responsible for your happiness and worthiness then how can they ever just be themselves and state their truth to you?

If you are holding expectations as to what they need to do, how they need to act then how can they share their truth with you about anything that may pose a difficult conversation? And how is this unconditional love?

If you define yourself based on your relationship,

which simply means you are not strong in WHO YOU ARE,

then how can you be truthful with another?

To be authentic, truthful and honest with another you first must KNOW YOURSELF and be strong at your core so you are not rocked by another.

Remember that humans are fickle.

We ebb and flow,

we all are live waves in our feelings, emotions, thoughts and that we get caught in our wounds as well as our desires.

In authentic relating we understand that

there is your business,

there is my business,

and there is God’s business,

and that we each are ONLY RESPONSIBLE for one of those.

Anything else is sticking our noses where they are not needed.

The most unconditional loving person is the person who knows themselves, loves themselves first, and can embrace their shadow self as well as their glorious light.

They know their worth and it is not dependent on any outside source.

This is a person who can love deeply and unconditionally.

This is a person who can truly be honest and real.

This is a person who is self-empowered and therefore has the ability to allow for their partner to grow, to speak, to change.

As it is so intended.

relationships need to evolve over time.

This means that both parties need to do the same.

Expecting ourselves, our partners or the relationship to remain the same,

causes stagnation to our individual growth and the evolution of our love and relationships.

This is the coward’s path.

And it typically results in two things:

*Unhappiness

*Relationship Failure

It takes courage to relate authentically.

It takes courage to relate in unconditional love.

It takes courage to catch our control issues in a relationship.

It takes courage to see our fear based actions, feelings and thoughts for what they are… fear of our own inadequacies, fear of our worthiness and lack of value, the lack of personal acceptance cast onto our partner, and fear of abandonment.

But when we stand in courage and face our truth,

love ourselves through our fears,

we open the gates to deep, penetrative love and acceptance with our partner.

And THIS….

THIS is what we all crave and desire.

You are worthy of this beauty.

You are worthy of this sort of love.

Offer it to yourself and your partner today,

by starting with seeing YOURSELF authentically and leaning into those difficult conversations.

Reach out to me if you want information on how to go about just this and more.

Learn authentic relating no matter your relationship title to create an evolved loving relationship that fits your soul’s path now.

Are You Hiding From The Truth In Your Relationship?

Retraction.
The holding of the breath.
The gripping of one’s fist.
Fidgetting.

What we expereince when something is shared that we don’t want to hear.

It can be hard to hear our partner speak about what they are feeling. How they are thinking. Or the challenges that they are having in the relationship.

It can be terrifying at times and make us question if the relationship will survive.
It can make us feel weak,
defeated, not enough, lost even.

When our partner throws a verbal dagger at us,
whether they know it or not,
it hurts.

And we find ourselves tossed between gratitude for finding out and a desire to not know any more.
To just make it go away.

The gratitude is our soul telling us that this is what is needed,
if our partner had not openned up and shared then that would mean that the relationship was already dead and it was just a matter of time till we discover its corpse.

This is what happens frequently however,
so often couples carry on and one partner is blind and deaf to the truth of what state the relationship is in, until it is too late and then they scratch their head in confussion of , “How is this possible, I thought everything was good?”

If we lean into the desire to make this pain go away and to not hear it anymore,
we may find ourselves retracting our love to our partner.
We may find ourselves just simply disregaurding what they are sharing and moving along as though it never happened.
Hoping that if we don’t talk about it or give it attention that it will change on its own.

This is detrimental to the releationship, however.
Making excuses up as to why you cannot focus on this right now, saying that this is the wrong tme to bring it up, saying that its all in our partners head or that thats not true, are all statements sharing that you do not value your partners feelings, thoughts or heart and that you are more caught up on the gut punch and how bad it was of them to make you feel this or to ask for something.

This is also detrimental to the realtionship.

The ONLY path to choose in this instance “IF” you desire to keep the relationship that you have and to make it strong and happy again is to PAUSE and listen without denial, without hiding, without excuses or fighting.

This is what is referred to as
“holding space.”

Coaches and therapist’s do this all the time for their clients.
The answers are often formed through the venting,
the sharing, the allowance of the feeling.

As a couple, if you desire to take some bad news shared and turn it into gold, then this is the sapce to start in.

If you close the door to the communication,
if you get angered or bitter about the sharing,
if you go into attack mode,
or allow your fear to control,
then you will find yourself pushing your partner further away.

Communication is the key to holding a relationship together.
Communication is the key to healing a relationship.
Commincation is the key to building trust, intimacy and love.

But communicating means listening without judgement or a need to be right or change what someone else is feeling or thinking.

Comminucation also means presenting a safe space where your partner feels permission and safety in speaking what they need and that their words will be heard and acknowledged.

Commincation means sharing your truth.
Sharing what you are feeling, fearing, troubled with, needing, not liking, liking, loving.

If you want a turned on, empowered relationship then you have to move away from surface level relating.
You must be willing to hear it all and hold that space for self and your partner.

You must be willing to offer what is going on with you and INQUIRE about what your partner is expereincing,

Most relationships today do not do this.
They believe that they do,
but they don’t.

Most relationships accept the answer of,
“I am good. I am fine. We are good.”

The simple truth is that relationship requires work, time, energy, truth, compassion, communicating, stepping back from a need to be right.

If you don’t take the time right now to share with your partner or to hold space for your partner to share and actually listen to what they are sharing, understanding that every share is valuable, then what you will discover is that your relationship will end.

If you claim that you love your partner.
Claim that you love your relationship.
Claim that it is the most important thing to you.
That it and them matter.

Then let it be witnessed through your actions of taking the time and making it priority.

Without shame.
Without guilt.
Without anger.
Without retraction.
Without accusations.

But with LOVE.

If you think you don’t have time to do this,
then I promise you that you will find a time that it will not longer beasking for your time.

So You Think You Can Poly? Why so many monogamous couple’s are turning toward open relationship.

So you think you can poly?
You think you can do open relationship?

Right now I have a bunch of couples coming to me with the desire to open their relationship up.
I have a bunch of singles who desire to get into an open relationship as well.
What’s up with all the openness?

I will tell you what’s up with all the openness…
Open relationships are effing amazing!
They are built on an unconditional love and acceptance that most monogamous relationships could only ever dream of.
Open relationships when done right,
are all about each partner giving themselves and each other the permission and support to explore who they really are and to get their needs and desires met how they feel fit without the fear of loosing their primary partner.
Open relationships encourage each partner to truly work on themselves and move through their limiting belief structures,
through their fear based needs and ideas around jealousy and control equalling love.

Open relationships are hardly ever about the sex.
Although sex is a big part of the relationship guidlines and agreements,
sex is never what it is ultimatly about.
And here is why…

Anyone can go get laid pretty easily.
If you are a female,
there is free, easy to get sex around every corner, no matter your age, looks or anything else.
If you are man, yeah it can certainly be a bit harder ( no pun intended..lol- okay maybe intended)
but at the end of the day if you truly desire it and have a bit of confidence then there is a chick who will hand it over pretty easily.

So sex is not difficult to get.
But thats just friction based, empty sex.
There is nothing too it.
No heart, no soul, no connection.
Its just skin rubbing skin ending with a pump, pump ooohhh, goo, moment.

And that is most likely part of the problem in the primary relationship that triggered this whole idea to open the relationship to start.

Heartless, quick, empty, friction based sex on one side or both.

Opening up the relationship is because one partner if not both feels lost in who they are.
They are starving to be seen, felt and understood.
They are hungry for a deep orgasm.
And that deep orgasm can only come about with care,
with some feelings attached to the person they are dancing with.
Or else, its pointless.
It’s empty and in truth sorta traumatizing to the mental and emotional houses.

Opening up is about realizing that not all connection is equal.
Realizing that NO ONE person will ever, or can ever fill all of our needs. That when we are closed that we will live out our lives only meeting one aspect of self as well.
When we open, it is more about us meeting all the facets of who we are, then about getting laid or having an orgasm.
Opening up is about allowing yourself to breathe into self,
to explore different venues of the mind, the emotions, the physical body.

If you have had sex with more than one person in your life,
then you can pause a moment and think about the different ways each partner made you feel. You can think about how you reacted, conversed differently with each person. How each person, taught you new things about life, or revealed different likes or thoughts, even personalities of the self.

This is why people open.
We grow weary and bored with the self.
We become numb to all this beauty we hold in ourselves,
and we forget who we are.
Our candles grow dim and we need someone to strike a match and help light us up again to all the treasure we have within.

A person who lives in fear of loosing their partner prevents themselves and their partner from ever authentically showing up in the relationship or in the sex. Fear creates an energy of neediness,
fear creates a desire to control outcomes,
and a belief that if our partner loved us truly then they would always put us first.
After all we are the primary partner.
We are the significant other.
We are the life mate.

In truth, the relationship that must hold center stage for any person,
is the relationship with self.
And when we choose to disregard the relationship with self,
we close ourselves to all we have to offer this life,
to offer our partner,
our family and friends.
And we slowly die within.

So yes, this may seem like I just said you need to be selfish in relationship and put yourself in front of EVERYONE else,
and I did say that.
It’s true.
You will never be able to fill the needs of those you love if your vessel is empty.
You must put self- care first.
and in open relationship,
this is understood and honored.
We best honor and love our primary partners and all relationships in our lives when we take care of self in all area’s first.
Now, don’t let this statement lead you to believe that open relationship is about partners demanding things left and right without care to anyone else’s feelings or needs.
Only a self- centered person does that.
And self-centeredness and selfishness are vastly different things.

No, in open relationship the partners discuss needs,
discuss ideas on how to best support each other,
and know that in order to remain deeply rooted in each other and keep their relationship primary,
that they MUST set healthy guidelines, boundaries and agreements in place and honor them.
They know the importance of setting aside time for connection daily and weekly with each other,
keeping the relationship that they claim as a primary,
just that…
PRIMARY FOCUS.
but they do so by honoring themselves as well and speaking their needs and desires. Understanding that sometimes their partner cannot give them what they want or need in that moment.

Yes, open relationship equals difficult, real, raw conversations.
Open relationship means a willingness to see and hear your partners truth and know that you cannot always be the one to support them the way they need.
Open relationship understands that intimacy and vulnerability, truth and answers are not always pleasing or easy to step into.
But that it is what is needed if we truly love someone.
Unconditionally.

Today I ask you to look at your relationship,
no matter the label you identify with.
I ask you to look at your relationship and ask yourself these simple questions,

“Am I making my primary relationship, primary? And how am I doing this?”

“Am I acting out of fear and control in my relationship, or am I offering authentic unconditional love and support?”

“Do I feel that my partner owes me anything or is responsible for my feelings? If so how is this serving either of us or our relationship?”

You Are Not In Love With The Man, You Are In Love WIth The Stability.

You don’t want the man.
You want the stability.

Over and over again,
I witness this very scenario.
Living in Dallas,
I hear often about all the gold diggers and how it is such a “thing” here. But, it is not just a Dallas thing.
It just is the facts.

Many years ago, I dated a man from Germany and I recall on one of our first dates him sharing about some of the women he had, had a first time meeting with or corrisponded with over email. He told me how their main concerns and questions were:

👉Who do you work for and what do you do with them?
👉How much do you make?
👉What kind of car do you drive?
👉Where do you live? ( in other words what part of town are you in so I can figure out if its affluent enough).

He wanted to find love.
he wanted to find a partner.
And he felt like in order to do this he needed to show his resume.

So he bought a BMW sports car.
He moved into a prime location and got a fancy apartment on the 19th floor over looking the city scape.
He already had the great job and made multi-six figures.
So he was set.

And in turn as he dated he found that there was no depth to the women. There was no love. There was no truth in how they felt about him.

They were attracted to his lifestyle.
They were attracted to the stability.
They were attracted to him being the perfect guy to bring home to mom and dad.
They were attracted to everything that he could provide.

But they were NOT attracted to the man.

SInce then, I have worked with many men and women who have gotten married based on this very line up.
The woman was attracted to the stability and what the man could provide,
the man was attracted to her beauty and that he had scored the woman of his dreams, the woman out of his league. He was tired of being lonely and alone, he wanted to have that life partner, he wanted to have all that the relationship could provide and how she was making him feel like a king.

And so they said, “I DO.”

Years pass and life happens.
Children, work, health, stress.
And the relationship built on the above struggles for life because it was not based in love.
It was based on the desire of a need getting met.

When we get caught up in relationship that is based on desire for needs to be met or out of fear of running out of time, or not believing our good fortune so we commit prematurely to someone that we don’t know truly but fits a certain idea of what we “think” is ideal, but we do not truly have a desire for the person and who they are as a person.

Often we might find ourselves in thes emoments thinking:

“Oh, that part of them can be cahnged.”
“Or I need to say yes to this because of….”
“They are so sweet, so great, I don’t have to be attracted to them actually, they have all of this going on and thats more important.”
“But they treat me so wonderful, it’s okay that I am not that into them.”
“Better something then nothing and this is not a bad something.”

Then we are settling for a relationship based on a current idea of needs and fear not on a relationship that can withstand time based in love of who the person is and how they are in life.

We are settling for the desire of our needs in current vs our desire for the person.

If we do not have that spark,
that chemistry..
and if it is not on both sides,
then it will not last time.

Our desire for the person can ebb and flow over the course of the life of the relationship.
But if you get with someone because of what they can provide you with and not because of who they are and how you adore them as a person,
then know that your relationship is built on shifting sands.
Because our needs change over time.
And if you are not into your partner,
then you will not be able to surf these sands of change.
There will be no connecting strings to hold you together.
Instead you will find yourself in quick sand caused by years of not wanting the person but settling for the lifestyle provided.

And this comfort of all that you have,
WILL become VERY uncomfortable.

So much so,
change will be birthed from it.

Choose the man that you want for the man that he is TODAY,
not for what his resume in life says, or the money in his bank, or who you think he can become with you at his side.

Choose the woman that is real with you,
let’s you see her without all the makeup, the illusions and masks, wait for her to reveal herself over time, and do not grow hasty in catching what you feel you do not qualify for.

Time is a mirror that reveals all.

Pause before the “I DO.”
And know the person you are looking at.

Stuck in a reelationship based on a resume?
There is hope. Let’s talk.

The Avalanche of Negative Momentum in Relationship – How to Cope?

Have you noticed that a lot of challenges and upsets in your relationship happens because of one person’s sensitivity to what is being said or what they “think” they are hearing?

And have you noticed that after you have been with someone for a bit,
that is feels like when you get into a confrontation that there is no bottom to how deep and dark you can take it?
That there seem’s to be no bottom to the level of pain that you may venture into,
or the memories that you can come up with?

And it all feels so nasty, does’nt it?
It feels so real.

Arguing is never a fun thing in relationship.
Especially in our most intimate relationships.

But what causes this?
And how can we more consciously deal with this negative momentum that occurs in our fighting?

First, its important to relaize that it is NOT a reflection of who you are,
or who your partner is,
or what your relationship is.

Its just a vibrational discord that is occuring.
Its a reflection of your energies not being aligned in that moment.

And one of the best things you can do it to speak just that.
And state that it is JUST A MOMENT.
That it is a moment of imbalance.

It has no permancy to it.
Realize that you are both making too much of it.
That with all the beauty,
all the blessings that you have in life,
that what you should be doing is feeling just that,
BLESSED.

But, don’t get caught up in the judgement of this realization.
Remember that compassion heals,
judgement harms.

Recognize what is happening in compassion,
be easy on yourself and your partner.

And, then remember that there is momentum in your energy that is moving you along like this,
Realize that this event that you are standing in right now,
is NOT from RIGHT NOW.
It has been building up momentum for some time,
it is residual momentum in your energy.
Just something triggered it.

Even though you may be feeling like you got blindsided by this dorment momentum,
that it’s okay.

Know that your vibration is where you last left it.
Meaning that just because this event is happening,
does not mean that you have to fall prey to your old vibrational ways of dealing with it.

You are being offered the opportunity to move forward with new eye’s as to how you wish to position yourself and where you want to go with your energy.

If you lean back into all those old memories that will so easily fester themselves up right now,
or you ponder all the times he/she said/did…
then you are now contributing to the momentum.

Leaning into ease and letting go of the energy,
you may feel strange or even fearful,
you may feel like you are jumping out of a plane without a parachute,
however the reverse is you fighting for your point,
and increasing the momentum of what you do not want.

Feeling insecure.
Self- judgement.
Self- Blame.
Feeling inconsiderate to each other.
And the list goes on and on endlessly.

As I am sure you have expereinced a few times in relationship fighting.

Instead try speaking this:

” I love you too much and I love me to much, I love us to much to continue this negative momentum.”

This statement offers zero judgement about the momentum or where it came from.

Its all accurate and real,
you are not making up the imbalance,
you are now just not adding to it.

You can want for whatever you are wnating for.
It is good and healthy to want.
The only thing you need to embrace is that in order for you to have what you are wnating for,
you must be a match to it,
and you cannot expect or demand another human being to act or be any particular way to get you what you want.
Or to make you happy.
Otherwise, this is making them a conditional lover.
Which makes your relationship one of need instead of love.

Instead when you step away from being conditional lovers/partners,

you now take responsibility for your own happiness.
You can say to your partner that you love them,
but that you are not going to act or do something just to appease them,
or to sooth their emotional state of being.
You can let go of the riegns of responsibility of what they are thinking or feeling and encourage them that this is thier moment to self-sooth.
Knowing that this is empowering to them and to you.
And even though there may not be any reaction changes,
you can stand at more peace because you are being authentic and in alignment whith your TRUTH,
verses being a conditional lover.

Think about it,
all relationships are the same.
In every relationship there is a dominant person and a submissive person,
and this can work well for many things,
it is also looked at as the masculine and the feminine,
we need the polarities in relationship to have attraction and desire,
but these poles can be abused.
And often are out of the name of love.
but when we access that poyant reality of who we all are,
children of God,
then we must also realize that the most loving thing in relationship is to accept and honor,
that no one is your boss and you are not the boss of anyone.

This concept of I own you.
I posess you.
Because I love you.
Is abuse of the word love.
It is not of the heart and soul,
but of the ego and fear.
Thus pulls us out of alignment and consistnetly builds and triggers such negative momentum as we have been speaking of here.

Realize that when you are looking for some sort of behaviour shift that what you are doing is trying to be the boss of your partner.

So instead of letting the momentum carry you to actually screaming these things at each other,
pause and say…

” I love you too much and I love me to much, I love us to much to continue this negative momentum.”

And PAUSE!

Yes pause.
This is the space to go your seperate ways,
to reflect and breathe,
to refocus yourself from fear and back into love.

This is also you putting the most important relationship back at center stage in your life,
that being the relationship with self and God.
It must be paramount.
And if you can make this relationship of the highest importance,
then your partner will follow,
because you will be in alignment and you will be magnetic in your ways,
acting and speaking out of love once again.

And this is where you move from.
A higher vibrational acting point.

“Coaching for Grown A*s Believers”

Looking for moree clarity and tools as to how transform your relationship of now into the relationship of your dreams?
Message me about privtae coaching strategies that show you the way.

You Are Being A Chicken Shit About Your Dreams.

You are being a total chicken shit about your dreams!

It’s time to get real and stop all the effing excuses.
You can keep up with the blah, blah cheap talk that you are giving them but you know that you are still not 100% committed to them.

Cuz if you were then this shiz would be majorly different,
wouldn’t it?

But it ain’t.

And that is because you are effing scared to fully step in and have what you want.
Be who you were called to be.
And own your MOFO power.

So what is the hold back beautiful?

What has you consistently denying your dream life?

You say that it is because you don’t have the resources at this time that you need to make it happen.

You claim that its a timing thing,
a money thing,
a space thing,
a focus thing,
a some dumb f-ck thing….

But none of that is true,
and you know it.

It’s because some where back there in your history,
you got really angry with it.
You got so angry with your dreams for letting you down,
for not manifesting the way that you wanted them too,
for allowing you,
and leading you into what you perceive as suffering and loss.
You got so upset with them BABY,
that part of you divorced them.
And you have been teetering on finalizing that divorce or recommitting ever since.

It hurts doesn’t it?
That feeling that you carry with you.
That weight on your shoulders that just will not go away.
That pain in your chest that feels like a constant throb of anxiety,
and that tension in your gut.

It’s been there now for so long,
you are almost scared that if you let go of it,
that, that void from it will be too much for you to bare.
And you fear that if you let go and forgive yourself and your dreams for things not turning out just how you once thought would be perfect and a fairy tale happy ending,
that you will never feel so deeply in love with them or with life again.
You fear that you will never have what you once believed was possible and you are caught up on the not having of that perfect picture you were creating when they let you down in that brutal fashion that caused all this turbulence to start with.

You are blaming your dreams.
You are holding your dreams responsible for YOU not staying committed to them.
And that is a chicken shit move.

No matter what happened back there when you originally let go of them and started your path of sabotage,
no matter how hurt or scorned you may have felt or still do today,
shiz don’t always go exactly the way we want it too.

You know that.
You gotta put your big girl panties on and you gotta let go and commit back to your faith.

That faith that carried you into all that beauty.
That faith that ignited your SOUL.
That faith that was your MOFO wings gorgeous.

Your worthiness never changed because your heart got stung.

That has nothing to do with your worthiness.
And most certainly is not good enough a reason to live at half mast.

When you are in your light,
when you are turned on and fully embracing of your worth,
when you are in love with life,

YOU ARE UNSTOPPABLE.

But in order for you to regain that power,
you have to get back to YOU.

And that means to let go of your pain,
and stop blaming your dreams for everything.

They are only the wind beneath those powerful wings of yours,
not the arrows that knocked you down.

Those came from your fear.
Your fear of not being good enough.
Your fear of being too much.
Your fear of your own inner radiance.

But god does not make unworthy things.
And you beautiful are unstoppable.

Hope & Commitment: PRICELESS

Average cost of a divorce: $15,000 to $30,000

Average child support payment for one child: $430

Average alimony support percentage of highest earning spouse: 30% of income for up to 50% of time of marriage

Saving your relationship and working through your shit: PRICELESS

Remember the old commercial?
Well I sure do.

And this topic is near and dear to me in recent times.
But more importantly,
It is a possible reality to many of my couples clients.
Or potential couples clients.

The sad truth is that quiet often people go looking for help.
They sit in my office,
Wrenching their hands together,
Butterflies in their stomach,
Wanting to be heard.
To be understood.
And to be given hope.

They look at their spouse,
And they hope that they too have a sincere desire to heal the wounds of years gone by.
They hope that their partner is feeling at ease and will be open to the possibilities of getting help.

Often, tears are shed in my office by one or both parties as they recognize the pain,
They see the situation of their marriage clearer,
And they feel the tingle of hope spreading its wings inside them.

There they sit.
HOPEFUL.

They share intimacies within this safe container,
Baring their truths of bitterness, of loss of desire, of financial pains, of feeling left behind and under appreciated.

They share their sins.
From adultery to drug usage to porn and anger.

They share their longing.
Their longing to reconnect.
To heal.
To love and be loved.

And so they walk away from me,
Feeling lighter.
Feeling connection and understanding.
Feeling non-judgment.
Feeling as if they can recover.
They feel HOPE.

And then….
It is inevitable my follow up email with all my recommendations and observations comes into their inbox.
It asks them for their,
COMMITMENT.

Many stand up to the plate.
But many steer away in fear.

They lean on objections.
From price to time.
They say they need to wait.
They say they think they can do it on their own.
They say this
And they say that.

But none of it matters.
They CHOOSE to not commit
And thus they choose to remain in their suffering and in the harsh reality that separation most likely will knock soon at their door.

But they feel like they cannot change the outcome.
Because it just is.
So they settle into victim mode.
And they loose HOPE.

How much does it cost to sacrifice your HOPE?
How much is it worth to step into COMMITMENT ?

It is priceless.
Thats what it is.
On both sides it is PRICELESS.

The only question
I ask these souls who choose to say goodbye is,
Are you happy?

At the end of any decision.
You must ask yourself.
Are you happy?

Here you will learn your truth.
Here you will learn about your fear.
Your regrets.
Your desires.
And if you made the right choice.

No one can answer this for any of us.
It is between us and soul.

And it is PRICELESS.

The Gift of Relationship in Life Success

Relationships break us open.
Relationships unfold us to a life that is deeper than we could ever know possible on our own.
Relationships can be freeing,
Or they can be crippling.

Relationships are our defining energy of how we penetrate our lives.
They define how we surrender to the greatness of our lives.
They define how we allow ourselves to receive and create blessings and/or suffering.

Everything we do in life,
We do through relationship.

This last year I have been in this awakening of just this that I share with you today.
I have been coming into the beautiful realization of my truth and how it has manifested and shown me all the guidance I could ever want for through my relationships with lovers, friends and family.

My realization (and perhaps you may feel some alignment too) is that I have been resisting my truth.
I have been hiding from my own uniqueness and power thus of it.

In January I lost what one might say was the love of a lifetime. My heart died that day and I have been looking for a path of resurrection for it so that I can open again to the blessings that a fierce penetrative love can bless one with.

In May I lost my second primary relationship in a shocking 2 hour event that I am sure I will never understand. This relationship taught me so much about my desires, about emotion and stability. It taught me about detachment and harshness and it showed me my weaknesses in my boundaries and lienliance around many things and I was shown just how blind one can be in a relationship as well as how we NEVER know anyone truly.

These two relationships alone have revealed to me a beauty and a reality of who I am and how I have been choosing to show up in life as well as how I am willing to receive from life or not.

I have come to a realization of my set points.
Of my programs around abundance, value, love, money and joy.
I have come into a point of awareness that each of these relationships were holding me back from my full potential.

The healing must still manifest in its own way.
But the truth is that I have been blessed without measure. I have been provided with the opportunity to create the legacy that I desire for my life.

If I tried to hold tight to the energies (the relationships) that were lower vibe than what I wanted for my life, then I would only set myself on a path of further suffering.

As a former love above says, ” A reason, a season or a lifetime.”

So true is this statement.
As every relationship offers one of these.
And we never know what it is until we reach its end.
And even then,
As past has taught me,
Some relationships serve all of the above.

And everyone of them reveals more of who we are.
Everything is a relationship.

If you are struggling then all I have to say is that there is hope. You can have it all. You really can.

I swear to you,
That if this effed up single mom of of seven from the wrong side of the tracks can find hope,
Can discover her truth,
And can manifest a life that is beyond what I believed.

Then you too can have your dreams manifest into reality.

Look at your relationships,
See their beauty no matter the pain they bestow,
And embrace who you are.
Embrace your truth.
Embrace your desire.
Embrace your power.

Pull Your F-cking Head Out of Your Ass and Get a Life of Your F-cking Own Syndrome

It has been a VERY long day.
One where I have spent the entire day avoiding my hormones,
avoiding my desire to just scream,
and cry, and bitch about everything.

Originally, I was going to write about starting your day with orgasm, and how wonderful that is. I thought that would be a wonderful share as I had a great night of some good sexing and woke up this morning turned on and even masturbated.

So orgasm was strong in my body.
However, my day quickly turned gears.
I found myself battling for the space to just write in my daily journal for about 4 hours.

The distractions came from everyone in my life.
My period not helping me hold back my frustration.
I felt on edge ALL stinking day.

Keeping in mind the wise parenting advice that I have held near and dear for 23 years of being a mom,

” Pick your battles.”

So here I am at midnight,
after a day of picking my battles and getting distracted.

Here I am FINALLY writing this brief tid bit of rawness.

And what am I sharing on this evening?
I am sharing on an extremely important topic.
One that I believe is one of the BIGGEST issues in relationship today.

My day has been a day that was filled with it.
Multiple sources brought it to me.
I had to breathe through it many times today.
As I was focused on , “picking my battles.”

This though is an on going battle in my home and life and perhaps for you it may be in your’s as well.

I AM NOT AND CANNOT BE YOUR EVERYTHING.
NOR DO I WANT TO.

Yes here ya go folks.
Here is my share.

Do you feel like your partner,
your lover,
your friend,
your sibling,
or any other relationship

needs to be your everything?

Maybe you are on the same side as me on this topic and you feel like you are being expected to be someone’s everything.

It’s f-cking exhausting isn’t it?
There is no freaking’ way that any of us can do this for another.

yet so often this is the issue in our relationships.
We get into a relationship with someone,
and we make them our everything.
we loose our individuality.
we stop going out alone or with others,
we dedicate our every breath to this other person,
and when they don’t reciprocate,
we get pissed.
we feel hurt.
we wonder why we are not good enough, ‘or why they don’t care.
After all we have done so much for them,
why can’t they just see that and appreciate it?

why can’t they just let go of everything else in their world and make us their #1?

It’s just not fair.
It’s always us getting hurt.

In steps JEALOUSY.
In steps our need to control.
We have to control this situation, or we will not feel loved,
seen, appreciated.

We have to point to all those things that are taking our desired relationship away from us.

Making it hard for us to connect.
Making it hard for them to see us.

So we push a little harder.
We beg a little more.
We stomp our feet, slam doors, and act like we are three again.
We retract our love to show them what they are missing.
We wave our pissed off flag around,
hoping that they will notice,

But they just seem to carry on without us.
Or they cave and let our juvenile ways win for now.

So they smile.
So they say sweet things.
So they comfort us one more time,
putting our fears of loosing them to the side temporarily.

But then God dang it.
They turn right back around,
like nothing happened.
Like our pain was never there,
and MOTHER F-CKER.

They go back out with those other people.
They laugh and enjoy life on their own,
They just keep moving through their day,
as though we are not here.

JEALOUSY.
The sad truth in this tale is that the fear of loosing the relationship is most certainly going to happen when someone keeps pushing and suffocating another like this.

The truth is, that any relationship needs to be based in authentic desire to be in relationship with us.

It needs to be based on individuals who are not needy to the point of suffocating each other.
Have lives of their own, and come together to support and compliment each other in life.

If you are loosing yourself in a relationship.
if you are feeling needy to the point of jealousy.
If you are pissed off at the other individual for being just that, an individual.
If you are pissed off at the other individual for not making you their #1 in everything, or dropping other relationships for you.

Then you may be suffering from , ” Pull Your F-cking Head Out of Your Ass and Get a Life of Your F-cking Own Syndrome.”

This syndrome has some key symptoms:
* You cannot let the other person be alone without you for more than 10 minutes.
* You always make your opinion supportive to what the other’s is or might be.
*You try to hard to please the other person ALL THE TIME.
* You are fearful of being yourself or stating your truth to the other.
* You will change who you are to make sure you don’t loose the relationship.
* You get upset about the person having or doing things with others, even though you smile and tell them its okay.
* You cannot go and do much of anything without the other person, and you don’t want to.

This syndrome causes relationship breakup when you try to take over a non-codependent person’s life with it.

If you are like me,
then this sort of syndrome makes you want to run the other direction.

Drop the person like a hot potato.
And count your blessings that you caught it in time.

In my personal opinion there is not much more unattractive then this syndrome.

If you are a person suffering from this syndrome,
well I am sorry.

Truly I am.
It is time to put on your BIG KID panties and realize that healthy relationships DO NOT operate like this.

It is time for you sweet soul, to learn who you are.
Get right with JUST BEING YOU.
Learn to love you.
And start to enjoy life,
which means to have more than JUST ONE in your life.

We are human beings and we are built for community.
We need relationships.

Multiple relationships.
We need to get our needs met in many ways and by multiple sources ( people).

NO ONE CAN BE SOMEONE ELSE’S EVERYTHING!!!!
This is putting an unrealistic and unhealthy expectation on the relationship and on the person.

If you claim to care about the relationship
about the other person,
about you,

Then go get your shit in order.
get a life of your own,
and STOP EXPECTING anything from anyone.

ESPECIALLY THAT THEY ARE YOUR EVERYTHING.
