The Virus Question

Going the DistanceOften I look around while driving to the office at other people in the rush hour traffic. Some are sitting in their cars talking on cell phones or texting, surfing the net. Others are tapping their fingers on the steering wheel listening to music or just find themselves a tad irritated with the daily grind of another work day and the traffic that comes with it.

Whatever each person is physically doing does not matter nearly as much as the energy that they are doing it with or the look upon their face. So many people are scowling and look totally captured in stressful thought. Worried about a business deal, a proposal or presentation. Will they arrive to work on time or will they be reprimanded for being late, regardless of the fact that there was a 5 car pileup that morning. They sip their coffee or energy drinks as they slinky themselves along the freeway lanes in anguish that yet it is another day where they feel that time would be better spent watching a dead flower grow. Comfort comes in their titles and pay checks. In these they can point and say “I am important.” Never acknowledging their true selves but instead the labels that life has given them.

It does not end at work either. This same dull drum carries into the home front. Into the marriages and intimate relationships that we all value so much. We walk in the doors of our cozy homes, our children playing video games, doing homework, watching TV or off on a date with someone, our spouses tired from a long day of duties themselves. We try to not bring our work home so that we can have quality focused time with the people that we love the dearest. Yet often we are feeling pressure to finish some detail of something and find ourselves distant and un-present with our families. If we are single then we work until the wee hours of the morning on a project wishing that when we turn around we would see this incredible creature that can see us for us and loves us unconditionally lying in bed waiting for our body to curl up next to theirs.

Difficult ChoicesIn the end of our lives if we are not careful to listen to our hearts and souls quiet music that they guide us with, we may find ourselves
bewildered, unfulfilled and full of regrets. One NEVER regrets living more! One
does not regret experiencing more or making love more. One regrets lost
opportunities. Caving to fear and to social boundaries.  One regrets smothering the voice of spirit when the Virus Question is posed at different points of life. The questions that rise up from the depths our souls and cause us to feel butterflies or upset stomachs, nervousness and fear or excitement, these are the questions
that are presented from soul to the logical mind for a reason. The reason comes
back to truly embracing life. Living the experience of life that we were
designed to live.

So what is the “Virus Question” and why is it a virus?

Breaking the Structure

It all comes down to railroad tracks. If you go to the train station today or Google on line, you will learn that the distance between railway tracks is ALWAYS 143.5 centimeters, or 4 feet 8 and half inches. Why is it this measurement?

A: When the first train carriages were built they used the same tools that had been used to build horse-drawn carriages. So why that distance between the wheels and the carriages?

A: Because that was the width of the old roads along which the carriages had to travel. But who decided the width of the roads anyway?

And here is where we do a tad bit of time travel or time warping, quantum jumping, etc. etc. We have to plunge ourselves back into the distant era where soldiers wore short white dresses, had strong sexy backs and legs, and carried upon their heads beautifully designed protective shields (picture Russell Crow or Brad Pitt ladies). A time where Cesar was the ruler of the whole world and Rome was at its center.

The Romans were the great road builders who decided to make
the roads that width. But why?

A: Because their war chariots were pulled by two horses, and
when placed side by side, the horses they used at the time took up 143.5
centimeters.

So think of this when you look at today’s railroad tracks.
The tracks that our state-of-the-art high speed trains use were determined by
the Romans over 2000 years ago.

When ships came to the great America’s to settle the lands
and in time the English settlers decided that they needed to build a railway
that could cover the United States, it did not occur to them to change the
width and so it stayed that way and is that way still today. The effect of the
distance between the tracks determined by the Romans even had a significant
impact on the building of our space shuttles. American engineers thought that
the fuel tanks should be wider, but the tanks were being built in Utah and had
to be transported by train to the Space Center in Florida, and the tunnels
could not take anything wider. So they had to accept the measurement that the
Romans had decided was the ideal.

Now you may find this tale very interesting or be wondering
what the hell I am even talking about it for, and you most certainly are
wondering how the Romans road building has any effect on our marriages and
relationships at all or on any part of our personal lives, since most of us do
not personally use the train system unless we live in a major city center or
have a job with the railroad.

It has everything to do with marriage and relationships.
Especially those that are supposed to be “love-relationships.”

Somewhere along the line someone in our world history stood
up to the plate and said, “When two people get married, they must stay frozen
in time. They must stay like that for the rest of their lives. Till death do
they part. You will move along side by side like two railroad tracks, keeping always
that same distance apart. Even if sometimes one of you needs to be a little
farther away or a little closer, that is against the rules. “

Rules: Be sensible. Think of the future. Think of the
children.

Masking the WildYou can’t change; you must be like two railway tracks that remain the same distance apart all the way from their point of departure to their destination. The rules don’t allow for love to change, or to grow at the start and diminish halfway through, it is too dangerous. And so, after the enthusiasm of the first few years, they maintain the same distance, the same solidity, and the same functional nature. Your purpose is to allow the train bearing the survival of the species to head off into the future: your children will only be happy if you stay just as you were – 143.5 centimeters apart. If you’re not happy with something that never changes, think of them, think of the children you brought into this world.

Think of the neighbors. Show them that you’re happy, eat roast
beef on Sundays, watch television, and help the community. Think of society.
Dress in such a way that everyone knows you’re in perfect harmony. Never glance to the side, someone might be watching you, and that could bring temptation; it could mean divorce, crisis, depression.

Smile in all the photos. Put the photos in the living room, so that everyone can see them. Cut the grass, practice a sport, — oh, yes, you must practice a sport in order to stay frozen in time. But when sports are not enough, have plastic surgery. But NEVER forget that these rules were established long ago and MUST be respected. Who established the rules? That does not matter. DO NOT question them, because they will always apply, even if you don’t agree with them. (adapted from The Zahir by Paulo Coelho)

These factious rules that the majority of our society abides
by are not designed to handle the up roaring of the “Virus Question” though.

At some point in life we may stop and look in the mirror, see
a glimmer of the person we use to be and the dream we once had and find
ourselves looking over our shoulder at the view of this white picket fence life
asking: Why am I unhappy?

Our governments, our religions, our bosses, our friends,
neighbors and families do not want us asking this question. Because it carries
with it the virus that will destroy everything. It means we want to find out
what makes us happy. If we find the courage to ask it and to look ourselves in
the eyes and feel our hearts answer, we will discover most likely that what
makes us happy is different from what we are living now, then we must either
change once and for all or stay as we are, feeling even more unhappy because we
know.

Two WorldsThe glimmer of that life that we long to live. The adventures we long to explore, the passions we long to full fill and the love we long to fully open up to can all be acquired within a moment’s thought if we are
willing to hear the call of the soul and charge forth like a couragous Roman soldier facing his enemy on the field. In the same thought we can crush our own hopes and dreams, our passion and take our love away that wants to be harvested and shared unconditionally by smothering it in a wool sack like dirty laundry. Not fit for the rules of the life that we are living. After all the rules ALWAYS apply and they were established long ago by who knows who. It does not matter. All that matters is that we realize that we must do what is civilized and within the boundaries of the box that we reside.

You will never experience true ecstasy or your true self, let along the openness and full union in love with another if you are not willing to break the rules.

It is not until you walk through the shadows of darkness and
fear no evil, when you know that your inner light and strength will guide and
comfort you, that all the fear and shackling of society through the embracing
of mediocrity will do nothing but cause the chaos, the divorce, the depression
and gloom that we all try to hide from that you can actually realize this:

“When I have nothing  more to lose, I will be given everything. When
I cease to be who I am, I will find myself. When I experience humiliation and
keep walking, I will understand that I am ALWAYS free to choose my destiny.”

The question of “why am I unhappy?” may carry with it the
virus of change, but better to be taken over by such an illness and be healed
from a life of quiet desperation then to believe we are not sick and die of a
cancer that is eating up our nations and our world from the inside out.

You are free. You are free to choose your destiny. You are
free to choose life, love and the pursuit of happiness. You are free to be
happy and you are free to investigate why you are not.

Over Taken

As Dante wrote in The Divine Comedy, “The day that man allows
true love to appear, those things which are well made will fall into confusion
and will overturn everything we believe to be right and true. “

“The world will become real when man learns how to love;
until then we will live in the belief that we know what love is, but we will
always lack the courage to confront it as it truly is.

Love is an untamed force. It is a rule breaker. When we try
and control it, it destroys us. When we try to imprison it, it enslaves us.
When we try to understand it, it leaves us feeling lost and confused. This
force is on earth to make us happy, to bring us closer to God and to our
communities, to ourselves. Yet the way we love now brings us an hour of anxiety
for every minute of peace.” – Paulo Coelho

We must transform our love into the love that the creator
intended it to be. Open and unconditional. All embracing, with not prison bars,
no rules of proper educate, and no attachments of expectations.

Free Spirit

Enjoy the romantic love that flourishes your environment at the start of a new relationship. But open yourself to the realization that all this flutter and rose tinted glasses is only a taste of the love that dwells inside of your very being. It is not a magic spell, it is not a manifestation from the one you are feeling all warm and cuddling about. It is YOU opening to ecstasy. “Ecstasy is the final stage of intimacy with yourself… It is a shift in perception in which direct contact with spirit is made.” (Deepak Chopra) Through the integration of our bodies, minds, hearts and souls we can fully realize that we are not only the great challous of this love, but we are also the sweet nectar that fills it. We are not singular, we are plural. We are all part of the Christ-consciousness matrix that is awakening to Divine Love. And once we awaken we will redesign our railways, perhaps we will even come to the conclusion that stiff metal tracks are not even required to get us to our life destinations. Instead we may invest in parachutes so that we can fully be embraced by the heart throbbing experience called Life.

Awakening to the Messiah on The Road Less Traveled

“If I had a hammer, I’d hammer in the morning, I’d hammer in the evening, All over this land.
I’d hammer out danger, I’d hammer out a warning, I’d hammer out love between my brothers and my sisters, All over this land…

Well I got a hammer, And I got a bell, And I got a song to sing, all over this land.

It’s the hammer of Justice, It’s the bell of Freedom, It’s the song about Love between my brothers and my sisters, All over this land.” — Peter, Paul and Mary (Song Lyrics)

Looking out into the world we see many individuals. We see nations, races and religious beliefs. We see OUR differences. Yet what we do not see often is ourselves in each person we come in contact with. A truly spiritual, Christ consciousness being can see and feel themselves in everyone that they interact with. They recognize the beauty and connection we all hold at a deep level. Intellectually we may all know that we are all children of God but when it counts we often forget.

Standing in line at a local Starbucks today I was witness to this very detrimental closure of the human disconnect in our world. A man who was obviously in a rush,  irritated and  numerous about the events happening “to him” went from testy to overly angered by the cashier who was new at her job and learning the register.

His reaction to her student-ship was far from human, and if the tides had been turned his harsh judgments and condescending statements would have been reviewed differently. However for my fellow brother in need of a time-out and an attitude check, I am sure his day went on to be one lacking in bliss and light.
If he had only paused and come from his heart in this moment he could have manifested a day of beauty and blessing not only for himself but also bestowed “light” unconditionally to an outside reflection of himself: The young cashier.

For any of the people in line with this man and for anyone reading this blog post here on Tantric Transformation, it is easy to see the negative impact his choice most likely bared to his day and perhaps to hers as well. But as Alcoholics Anonymous teaches, “ the only person you can change is yourself.” This is the awakening that needs to happen. It is the first step to positive world change and unity. The realization that we cannot ever be responsible for another’s consciousness or personal change. We can be guides, we can help create a positive environment for change and we can be supportive of others change by being the witness to ourselves and interacting through responsible unconditional loving of each as though they were ourselves. Because they are.

Don't Die with Your Music Still in You!Our personal disconnection from each other is scary.  Right down to the communities we live in we can see a dramatic change in connection just over the last 50-60 years. Go into an older neighborhood in your city and look at the homes that line the street. What do you see? Fully grown trees, beautiful architecture, driveways on the front side of the houses? Look past that.  What you see are two things that represent community and neighborly connection. Large front yards and front porches. Years back families would gather on the porch, enjoy ice tea or lemonade, a few beers maybe. They would socially interact with the family next door. Kids would be climbing those trees, playing in the sprinkler, chasing the dog from one front yard to the next. The front yards were deliberately designed larger to embrace comm-UNITY. Now look at your neighborhood? Unless you are one of the lucky few who bought one of these properties, you most likely live in a neighborhood similar to my own or in a townhouse/apartment.

Driving down the street in my neighborhood of 1500 houses or so, you find narrow streets, hard to pass on coming cars if there are any parked vehicles on the street in front of a home. You also find garages in the back of the homes and some up front. Shoe-box size front yards and 6 foot tall fences that shut out the world from the back yards which are normally far larger than the front yards. Around the 6 o’clock hour you will be plummeted by people speeding down the narrow street and quickly escaping from the world as they press the garage door button 3 houses away so that they don’t have to pause to wait for it to open. No
sooner does the car pull to a stop in the garage when the door comes down again. This is a representation of our inability to get along and open ourselves to not only our neighbors, our supposed friends but also to our families, our loved ones and most importantly to OURSELVES.

We live our lives based on fear. You may say no to this statement, or you may agree but I can share with you that the one thing I have been blessed to witness to in myself and with many people that I walk this path with is that we are all
fearful of something. And you may be thinking right now, “yeah I am scared that
a hurricane is going to come this fall and wipe out the area that I live,” “I
am fearful that my spouse is going to leave me for another,” “I am fearful of
getting cancer,” “I am fearful of losing my job,” or “I am fearful of losing my
soul to the fiery depths of hell if I do not live according to the doctrine of the
one true church, (and that of course is the one I go to.)” None of these fears ultimately matter. These fears are all ego based as ALL fears are anyway. They are controlling our free will, our spiritual nature. The only fear that we all
share is one much deeper and far more de-abilitating then any above. It is the
fear of vulnerability. Transparency. It is the fear of being seen and of seeing
ourselves, not only in the mirror as we brush our teeth but in each person we
come in contact with.

sunflower tantra july 20th2011 404-1Yet it is what we need to embrace to heal. Truly heal not only ourselves but the whole world. To quote M. Scott Peck in his book The Different Drum, “There can be no vulnerability without risk; there can be no community without vulnerability; there can be no peace and ultimately no life, without community.” But what does REAL community mean? It is what we all want. The unity and total acceptance from our fellow brothers and sisters.  It is learning how to appreciate and even celebrate in another’s individual cultural, religious and spiritual differences. It is the knowing that in the end we are ALL going to the same place and that if we are truly all children of God then it does not matter the name we choose to call Him or the house we choose to visit him in. Would you love your child any less for saying daddy then father or papa? Would you condemn your child for confiding in you with their fears, worries and hopes in their bedroom or the backyard because you only talk with your mother in the kitchen? No. Of course not. That is just plain silly, right? Well, this is what we are doing when we stand firmly in saying that OUR church is the ONE true church. It is the only way to the Promised Land; it is the only path to the arms of our creator. Every ancient spiritual text that has been converted into a religious path says the same thing, “Love thy neighbor as thy self.” This does not mean that we should only love those that are easy to love, that share our views and faith, that are the same race, same financial standing, or are just sweet people.  This
means love thy enemy, because he too is thy self.

Recently I watched a film called The Grace Card. This point was made very clear in this movie. An African American pastor of a small congregation was preaching at the pulpit about loving thy neighbor. During his sermon he shared the above and said “What do you do?” The congregation replied loudly, “Love them anyway.” He paused, looked out at his followers and said, “But what if I don’t want to? What if I don’t know how or even if I can?” Ladies and gentleman, now that is the truth. What if you don’t want to? Or know if you can? What if they are truly that hard to love and you know that in order to open to love with this person you are going to have to push the unconditional envelope hard?

As hard as it may be, the grace we all so want, the unconditional love and acceptance we long for, the fullness and intimacy we crave in our relationships and the world peace we know is mandatory not only for our physical salvation but for our spiritual as well will ONLY come about when we can first be forgiving of ourselves and open to the power of our vulnerability and we gain control over
our own personal Satans, our egos and harvest inner peace and unconditional
love for ourselves. If each of us were to respect ourselves at this level then
the natural repercussion of this internal awakening would be the unconditional
gift of acceptance, adoration, honor, love and comm-UNITY for all. Where would be the need for war and hatred if we had peace and love inside?

Only those who are closed to the reality that our external world is an illusion and only a dream that is playing out based on our internal consciousness will have
difficulties in this personal level of respect and honor. Even Freud, an
atheist, said that the purpose of psychotherapy (healing the psyche) was to
make the unconscious conscious.  Carl Jung ascribed human evil to the refusal to meet the Shadow – the Shadow being those aspects of ourselves that we do not want to recognize and that we constantly try to hide in the closet of our consciousness. Once we awaken to the fact that we are “made in the image of God” and what this passage is really sharing then we can change our external world.

Made in the image of God…

Think about that for a moment.

You’re still reading. You have not paused to seriously, stop and think about it.

Made in the image of the creator, my god, your god, our god.

Inspired PathThe creator can do anything and enjoys creating, manifesting and sharing unconditionally because only through the gift of true unconditional sharing is Satan(The shadow) slain and light revealed. Only making what is hidden revealed from the shadows can we be truly like God. To embrace being like God, means to not only intellectually understand but to proactively be the cause of positive manifestations such as peace, love, community, a healthy planet Etc. We are each made in his image because we are each creators of our universe and our collective existence. We have the ability within us to create, to manifest, and to master the universe.

The ancient knowledge of the mysteries of the universes and of our father in heaven resides within each of us. We each own a blueprint. In order to read it however we may have to seriously consider the impractical thought of changing the rules of the game since the rules are seriously killing us physically and spiritually. It is time to awaken and not only walk down the road less traveled, but also play to the beat of a different drum and realize that we must go against the status quo in order to save the skins and souls of our children’s children.

The matter of changing the rules is no longer an option.

It is time to make a call to action and to truly live up to our God potential and Love thy neighbor the way Jesus, Buddha, The Dali Lama, Osho and Mother Theresa  did.

The Messiah is here with us now.

The Messiah is YOU.

The Messiah is Me.

The Messiah is the man who needs a timeout at my local starbucks.

The Messiah is a United Christ-Consciousness.

Go forth today in love and ight and proactively mean it!

Touch, Intent & Healing

A frequent question asked by patients and practitioners is “To what extent do intent, attitude and touch affect health outcomes?” Although these issues may seem unrelated to the technical aspects of health care, a growing body of evidence suggests that such factors may significantly affect the healing process.

Bunnell 1 conducted a study to determine whether “healing with intent” could be shown to exert an effect on pepsin enzyme activity. The rate of breakdown of egg albumin by a 1 percent pepsin solution was measured across 20 separate trials. This assessment method was chosen to eliminate the possibility of a placebo effect. The reaction rate of samples “healed with intent” was compared to “unhealed” controls.

The samples “healed by intent” demonstrated significantly greater reaction rates than the controls. Even more striking were the results of a study by Bengston and Krinsley. 2 After witnessing numerous cases of cancer remission associated with a healer who used “laying on of hands,” one of the authors apprenticed in these techniques alleged to produce the healing effect.

The Test

The authors obtained five experimental mice with mammary adenocarcinoma, which had a predicted 100 percent fatality rate of between 14 and 27 days. These mice were treated using the healing techniques learned by the investigator. The treatments were given one hour per day for one month. The tumors developed a blackened area, then ulcerated, imploded, and closed. The mice lived their normal life spans.

Control mice sent to another city all died within the predicted time frame. Three replications using skeptical volunteer “healers” at two different institutions produced an overall cure rate of 87.9 percent in 33 experimental mice. Histological studies revealed viable cancer cells through all stages of remission.

When re-injections of cancer were given to the mice in remission, they did not “take” and the animals remained in remission. The authors surmised that the treatment might have stimulated an immunological response.

The authors reached the following tentative conclusions: “Belief in laying on of hands is not necessary in order to produce the effect; there is a stimulated immune response to treatment, which is reproducible and predictable; and the mice retain an immunity to the same cancer after remission … ”

 Laughter Really Does Help!

Attitude also matters. Laughter and humor have been shown to have beneficial health effects as well.

Berk 3 et al investigated how humor-associated, mirthful laughter modulated certain neuroimmune parameters. Fifty-two healthy men participated in the study. Blood samples were taken 10 minutes before viewing an hour-long humor video. Additional blood samples were taken 30 minutes into the video, 30 minutes after the viewing was completed and 12 hours after the viewing.

Increases were found in natural killer cell activity: Immunoglobins G and M, with several immunoglobin effects lasting 12 hours after viewing the humor video. Other effects lasting at least 12 hours were increases in leukocyte subsets and cytokine interferon gamma. The authors concluded, “Modulation of neuroimmune parameters during and following the humor-associated eustress [pleasant or curative stress] of laughter may provide beneficial health effects for wellness…”

In a study by Kimata 4, allergy patients who watched a Charlie Chaplin comedy had skin welts shrink, an effect not found in control subjects who watched weather reports.

Do these studies mean that practitioners should abandon our clinical procedures and become stand-up comics? Certainly not! My point is simply that the very act of touching, inherent in the clinical encounter, may exert a beneficial influence. Intent enhances this effect.

Furthermore, an upbeat, positive, empathic attitude will benefit your practice members more than a neutral or negative one. In a study published by Di Blasi et al 5, the authors stated, “One relatively consistent finding is that physicians who adopt a warm, friendly, and reassuring manner are more effective than those who keep consultations formal and do not offer reassurance.

” As practitioners, we touch our patients, and we project an attitude that profoundly affects their well-being. We can do so by default, or by design. My message to practitioners and patient alike is to focus on your intent to allow the body to express its potential. It will significantly affect clinical outcomes.

Ecstatic Alchemy

Discover Your Inner Magic

Our lives are based on physical laws. When we let go of an apple in mid air it will fall to the earth. This is gravity. Years pass and our flesh reveals the time it has spent here on this beautiful planet. Our blood flows through veins and if we consume too much of the wrong foods then it cannot flow properly and will cause us numerous health issues.  These are all basic, common and sound physical events that happen to our human bodies.

From a higher level, from our soul level, ALL is possible though. From here we can manifest good health, harmonic relationships, success in all areas that we long for. And it is from this higher self that we can become an Alchemist. Through our breaking free of the boundaries of our brothers and sisters, un-locking the chains of our life programming and through not belief, but certainty in our Divinity (that we are children of God, created in the image and with the same longing to share and create) we can then walk the spiritual path of the wizard.

Throughout time witches have been believed in. During the Middle Ages any woman who had her own thoughts and practiced a life of living off the earth, using herbal remedies and understood certain physical laws and ancient rituals was most likely condemned for being a witch. Yet the ancient civilizations where all our base religions come from all had “medicine men/women” “Priestesses” and “Wise women/men” to name just a few. AKA Witches.

Now I am not suggesting that we all submerge ourselves into the Craft here and take up Wicca, however there are many wonderful sacred rituals and healing remedies found on this path. What I am suggesting we all do is become our own alchemist. Learn to create the life we want.  As James Arthur Ray says it,All goals are spiritual goals, including abundant material wealth and mind-blowing sex.”

Tantra is a most perfect place to start with these spiritual goals! Our sexual energy can be cultivated to not only help but TRANSFORM our lives. When we have learned how to honor, and unconditionally love another, when we have worked through levels of blockages and have allowed our lover to see us, beautiful, open and vulnerable just the way God see’s us then we can step forth and channel our intense sexual feelings into manifesting a lifestyle and life goals that we mutually want and envision. In order to achieve this however we must first open ourselves to healing. In healing there are no promises, there is no room for expectations or controls. When we decide that we are tired of living a life dictated by everyone else and our ego (which normally rules us through fear and doubt) then we can open the window to some fresh air and discover our selves. Under the veils of pain, discomfort, fear, doubt, regret and loneliness lye a life worth living. Not surviving, but Ecstatically Living! Yes, you have to believe that YOU deserve it. You have to FORGIVE yourself. You have done nothing wrong. You have only been the puppet with your ego being the puppeteer. You are human. We all have these shackles and they are only shackles if we see them as such. As John Milton said, “The mind is its own place, and in itself can make a heaven of hell, a hell of heaven.” Here is where so many of us reside. We can have so many blissful things in our life and yet we focus on the hell that is before our face. We allow our Satan, our ego to rise up and cut our beautiful legs out from underneath us. Focused on one particular human failure that most likely will be a blessing shortly down the road, we sabotage our dreams. We then become the dark alchemist of our lives. Black magic swirls around us under the label of “bad luck.” Our friends and associates, even family may have sympathy or empathy for what we are going though, they may even lend a helping hand, but it is rare that someone will walk into our lives as we walk this path of the dark night of the soul (which can rise up at any point in our lives and can last what seems like a life time) and say, “You Manifested this Shit! Now it’s time to Transform it.” Yes, I said that. You manifested the shit in your life. The first step to healing is realizing that we manifest ALL the things in our lives. The good, the bad and the ugly. We are the creators of our destinies. If you want to be sitting on a beach in Cancun with the lover of your dreams and money in the bank, good relationships abound and ecstatic adventures galore hen YOU’RE THE ONLY one stopping it from happening.

Now don’t beat yourself up. Remember be gentle with yourself, your only human. Love yourself. Respect yourself. Learn your heart and listen to your soul. That quiet voice, which is your guide.

Abundance Awaits YouOnce you allow yourself healing and acceptance you can then embark on a most divine adventure of a life time. The road of the magician.  This path has many starting points and much scientific, religious support. Many of the greats in our past practiced one form of “magic” or another. From Jesus and Buddha to Einstein and Edison, these men all understood that they had to tap into the 99% reality. The part of our reality that we do not physically see but affects our lives far more than the 1% that we are aware of. This 99% is the matrix. It is the soul level. It is “heaven” where God creates and where we too can play. Dreams, phenomenon’s, spirits and quantum physics all start in the 99%.

In tantra we can learn what is called Sexual Magic. This is where we bring our ecstasy to a powerful point with another and through our lovemaking create magic.  During orgasm, we sometimes see stars, lights, a feeling of being sent into orbit. We touch a place within ourselves that has no boundaries or limitations. We have a feeling of infinite possibilities, a sense of wholeness and joy. Creative power and Divinity. The only issue is that the orgasm does not last very long. And often we start our lovemaking with a sense of non-openness. We are not whole hearted when we engage in the magical act. But once we heal then we can come into this place with a higher energetic level of being and with our partner create a life worth living ecstatically.  This pure, raw sexual energy is alive and creative. It wants to be harvested. It wants to be played with. It is not serious and controlled. It is free!

As we learn to tap into this energy and practice Tantric techniques to help allow longer, full body orgasm along with gaining understanding of the power of our thoughts and that we are all beings of energy then, then we have put on our witches hats and picked up our Merlin wands.

Tantric Therapy for Premature Ejaculation

Premature ejaculation (PME) is very common in males of all ages. Premature ejaculation is also common in the animal kingdom. In the animal kingdom sometimes fast is good; in order to deliver the sacred seeds of procreation as fast as possible or before someone else does. On the other hand, even in the animal kingdom, a prolonged sexual process creates physiological conditions that evoke specific levels of arousal and lubrication, and optimal positioning and penetration which increase the reception of the sacred seeds of procreation.

According to the “The Pleasure Coach”, “As boys masturbating or with a partner, they often trained themselves to be pre-mature ejeculators as they often do this quickly so as not to get caught. As adults, many men do not realize that extending the pleasure by slowing down can add a whole other dimension to their self-pleasuring.”

The act of sexual union not only provides procreation, but creates intimacy and connectedness.

Traditional professionals debate on the causes and treatment of premature ejaculation in men. Some believe that premature ejaculation is due to inheritance because individuals that experience premature ejaculations often have first-degree relatives that have had similar experiences; whether this is genetic or cultural is debatable.

Other researchers have noted that men who experience premature ejaculation have a faster neurological response in the pelvic muscles. Also, physiological complications such as urethritis, prostatitis, hyperthyroidism, obesity, and erectile dysfunction have been identified as attributed causes of PME. Tension in intimate relationships is commonly documented as causes as well.

Traditional treatments often involve talk therapy, recommended exercises to do at home and sometimes medication. Unfortunately, most traditional therapies focusing on dulling the sensations; psychologically (thinking about something else), physically (use of condoms, creams and analgesics to dull the sensation) and chemically (medication that dulls all sensation mentally and physically).

The Tantric Therapy view is much more holistic, natural and actually engages individuals to expand their sensations and experience.

Tantric Therapy View

First, while there can be a physiological issue, premature ejaculation is totally and completely a natural occurrence. It is nothing to be ashamed off. However, premature ejaculation can limit a man’s intimate connection with himself and add challenging dynamics to relationships.

I have practiced traditional insurance reimbursable psychotherapy for 16-years. Tantric Therapy treats the psychological, physiological and adds a critical spiritualogical component creating a holistic approach. Where traditional therapies can be effective, the holistic approach of Tantric Therapy is 100 times more effective in treating premature ejaculation (PME). I often compare the idea of only doing talk therapy to treat PME to the idea of just talking to someone that really needs physical therapy after an injury or surgery. A physical therapist could tell a person how to best do physical therapy on themselves or even teach a friend or beloved to help them; but most agree it would not be as effective. Actual physical therapy is 100 times more effective in healing physical injuries than talking about; why shouldn’t the treatment of PME?

Tantric Therapy does not treat the symptoms or even the causes of PME. Tantric Therapy focuses on the core of an individual’s frame of reference and center of relativity in their sacred relationship with themselves and with others.

Tantric Therapy

Working with men; I recommend individual counseling, bodywork and couples counseling.

Psycho/Spiritual

Tantric Therapy begins first with gathering an extensive history regarding not only sexual functioning, but also a developmental (childhood to adulthood) history, including a family history and discussion relative to intimate relationships. In addition, a physiological history is also gathered to rule out medical conditions. Also, information is gathered about the person’s spiritual perspectives on relationships and sacred sexuality. This process is not done to identify problems but to get the individual to engage and open themselves up.

In Tantric Therapy, sessions commonly begin with discussing and exploring the concepts of Sacred Sexuality from a psycho/spiritual/sexual perspective. Genuinely acknowledging the Sacredness of relationships often has a profound impact on individual’s views of Sacred Sexuality, intimacy, spirituality and on sexual functioning – including PME.

The experience of Tantra is to open or uncoil the Kundalini within. Awakening the Kundalini within not only elevates our energy and the contact we have the Divine; but sexual energy is not manifested physiologically but spiritually. The sustained spiritual union with oneself and between partners can lead bliss.

In addition, treatment teaches/focuses mental centeredness, relaxation, and awareness.

Also, recommendations are made for diet and regular physical activities; such as yoga.

Bodywork

I often counsel/educate men on the physiology/anatomy of intimacy.

Often the review of male physiology/anatomy includes the functioning of their bodies. I almost always recommend men doing bodywork sessions female practitioners. Bodywork sessions are very intimate and profoundly effective. All body work sessions begin with a developing therapeutic intimacy – creating a safe intimate connection/relationship for sharing and healing.

Most bodywork sessions involve the practitioner bathing and massaging the man to induce relaxation and intimacy. Breathing exercises are incorporated as well; making breathing delicate and slowing the breath. When an agreed level of relaxation and intimacy is established a more intense focus can be explored with the man’s Lingam, perineum, and sacred spot.

During a bodywork session; a practitioner will familiarize a man with his anatomy in a new way or sometimes touch a man in a way that he has only touched or explored himself. During these sessions; it doesn’t matter if the man is erect or not and often men ejaculate early in the session.

The muscles surrounding the perineum, Lingam and anus of massages and relaxed. The exploration of Scrotum elasticity, responsiveness, effects of temperature and sensitivity are explored. In addition, the connectedness of the perineum is explored. The stimulation of the prostate is explored as well; first internally and internally. When erect, the flexibility and positioning of the Lingam is manipulated. Often during sessions, men will become erect and then become un-erect. Ejaculating several times is also common. During sessions, men are taught how to squeeze their muscles around their prostate. This is done with the practitioner feeling the squeeze around the prostate.

Another important aspect is to have a in-depth conversation regarding masturbation. Often men train themsevles to ejaculate quickly; therefore some men are conditioned for PME.

Practitioners work with men in the bathroom; and encourage them to begin to urinate and then stop and continue again helping them become more aware of the internal sensations. While men can be and are instructed to do this by themselves; having a practitioner accompany/instruct them in-person has been more effective. Some practitioners will have men drink a lot of water before and during sessions and then have them stand and urinate into a jar and train them to start and stop.

The most common technique is to massage a man’s Lingam and prostate simultaneously and have the man signal when he feels the sensation that he is coming close to ejaculating and then stop the stimulation and encourage the man to squeeze. This process will not only profoundly help with PME but guide the man to experience multiple orgasms and recirculate his energy.

Overall, the most effective approach is to associate arousal with the connection to the Divine and have ejaculations be a conscious choice rather than a reflex. This is accomplished with Tantric Rituals, teachings of the male multi-orgasmic response and a lot of positive love and support.

A Time to Rend and A Time to Sew- Adventures On The Road Less Traveled

The heat barreled over the fields making each breath feel heavy in its weight. The day was quickly passing, yet the sun was still high in the summer sky. We quickened our pace down the freeway to our exit that would direct us to the small deserted farm road that we now refer to as the Road Less Traveled. Excitement grew between Duncan and me as we had been planning our Sunflower adventure for a few weeks. The last time checked upon the field was bright in color, filled with the tall powerful stalkiness of the sunflowers.

However schedules did not permit us to visit the field and the summer heat had
quickly taken its toll upon the once massive flowers we longed to parade in and develop a Tantric session around. Once focused on the blooming flowers and the 3rd chakra along with the power of not only mother Earth but the sun as well, we now found ourselves amidst a field of sunflowers begging to be harvested. They drooped in the afternoon heat, the earth cracking apart beneath their leaves and losing her grip on their roots. At first there came a feeling of loss over me. How beautiful the session would have been if we had not waited, how dry and non-colorful the field looked now. I wondered if our time and ideas had all been lost. But as I turned and looked into Duncan’s sparkling green eyes, I could see his inner child awakening. There was but only one comment from him that shared my feeling of loss and then he quickly diverted his energy into manifesting and harvesting another Divine Adventure.

Standing at the back of the jeep, I slowly was guided in revealing
myself as god had created me. Bear, beautiful and full of life. I could feel
the great mother’s energy coming up through me, rooting directly to my core, to
my heart.  Deep breaths relaxed me as the hot summer breeze swirled around and made small dust cyclones on the Road Less Traveled. Butterflies danced in lovemaking among the tall spears of grass and Duncan, large smile gleaming from his face as he opened the Crayola Finger paints.

Hmmm…he looked at my flesh as though I was a canvas and he was a kindergarten boy eagerly awaiting the teachers go ahead to get messy and
creative.

Yellow, then red.

A large flower center was being created upon my chest and bosom. Then the yellow petals would have to be formed, the cool paint and his fingers gliding across my warm flesh caused chills to shoot up my spine. Once he had painted a large sunflower on my front he grabbed the green paint. It was time for the leaves and stem. Brushing across my abdomen and over my hips, leaves were opening themselves to the afternoon sun on my very flesh. His artist’s fingers danced and swirled down my thighs, calves and ankles. Moments later he had happily made his way to my back side, yellow and red paints in hand again. This time I could feel him painting the centers of many flowers on my back, then the petals, leaves and grasses had to formed. Duncan’s motions changed during the process. He went from the youthful finger painter to an ancient warrior painter as he created the grasses that covered my rear and back of my legs.  Stepping back he examined his work. Then proceeded to move forward in the moment and ask me if I were ready to explore the field?

The dirt cracked in the baking sun with each step. My feet were singed to the earth’s crust, feeling as though I was walking across hot coals I could not make up my mind weather faster or slower movement was better. Once adrift in the middle of the sunflowers my feet found refuge in the shade of some leaves. Grasshoppers skipped by the dozens from stalk to stalk, creating their beautiful grasshopper music that merged with the locust chirp. The wind blew across the field, Duncan and I looked out over the drooping flowers. They seemed so sad as they finished their journey in this life. We wondered what or even if they would be harvest for.

Perhaps oil?

A sea of trodden weeping flowers, waiting for their rebirth. Much like mankind, each flower growing where it was planted, some sharing seeds and pollen with passer bys who would carry it and plant seedlings in new lands. Dependant on the earth and on controlled environment and feeding schedules of the farmers, each sunflower a captive in its own field of gold. Moments passing, the rising of the sun, the setting of the moon, a thunderstorm that blows in grasses to share the soil and maybe even a drink of rain water.  The once proud, strong and full of life green stems and leaves now covered in age and dust. The yellow glowing faces that turned and smiled in the sun light now almost stripped barren of their
beautiful petal mains. The dark center where all of life for its kind was once housed now taken over by bugs who drained the last bit of life energy from its
mini universe.

Walking through the sunflower field my hands washing across the tops of each plant, I could not help but look at the parallels of this world longing to be harvested and re-birthed and that of my own.

Years pass, time takes its toll on our physical bodies. Our relationships change, our children come and grow, then venture off to new lands without us.  Many of us find ourselves trapped in a job that pays our bills and supports our livelihood but does not contribute to our passion. Our purpose. We are prisoners, enslaved to the dollar bill and the environment it helps maintain for us.  Our prison guards are those “bosses” and laws/rules that tell us how to do our jobs, what to be enthusiastic about and how pleasurable our lives can be. We are tied down to the tracks of the 1% reality with a wooden horse full of nightmares headed right at us. At the end of our lives we may have saved some money, we may have purchased a house and even done some world travel. Perhaps we maintained a marriage of 30 years or perhaps we married and divorced five times. When the sun sets on our lives we too find ourselves like these very sunflowers, our bodies weak and graying, our once proud demeanor now humbled by the need to be cared for like a small child and the life that once held the potential of the universe in its very hands and dreams now the haven to fear of the passing and regret of the past.

Holding onto memories, not wanting to let out of our grasp a moment in time, hoping that if we can but only slow time down then we could enjoy life, then we would be happier, more fulfilled and able to truly open up to love. But time does not wait for any of us and moments keep on moving. We were never intended to hold on, but instead to transform. To awaken to the beauty of the harvest season of life and the re-birth of our soul.

There is a time to rend and a time to sew; Live today, allow your beautiful petals to bask in the sunshine of your life. No matter how difficult it may appear to be or how incredible it may seem, awaken to your true purpose. Heal, Love and Transform! Be the ripple in the energy current of the world that opens the doorway of a new reality for all.

Plant, Tend, Harvest your dreams. Your REALITY!

Tantra as an Alternative Medicine

There are various ways for realization of SELF as Brahman, who is the source of Truth, Existence and Bliss. Tantra is one of them. Through Tantra we experience the Supreme Bliss of Knowledge & Power.

Most People are unclear about what Tantra really is and what it can do for you. Probably the most common view is that Tantra has some connection with Oriental religion, with uninhibited sex, and with the lovemaking positions and techniques outlined in the Kama Sutra, Hinduism’s oldest sex manual. To some, Tantra is a free-love cult, a survival of the psychedelic sixties; to others, it’s New Age spiritual sex therapy. See also: Sex Therapy

None of these views of Tantra are wrong outright, but none really explain what Tantra actually is. So what is Tantra? What does it mean? And, most important of all, what is its relevance to us today?

The roots of the word are Sanskrit:
Tan – thread, web, stretch, spread or expand, and
Tra – tool or instrument.
Tantra – tool for expansion or a weaving.

The word Tantra is Sanskrit, the sacred language of Hinduism and the most ancient language of the World. It derives from the root word tan, which translates as “to extend, expand, spread, continue, spin out, weave; to put forth, show, or manifest.” Like the universe we inhabit, Tantra is continually expanding, spreading, and manifesting itself like a “cosmic weave,” made up of different energies. We are part of this weave, as are our forefathers and foremothers, all life, and every type of energy and matter. This includes thoughts, actions, and all physical matter. Through Tantric practice one can experience an expansion of consciousness and recognize the interconnectedness of the web of existence.

Some Definitions of Tantra:
Because Tantra is a mystical subject, it is nearly impossible to define. Even eminent scholars have had a hard time explaining what Tantra actually is. The different explanations of Tantra indicate its multifaceted nature. Tantra is a spiritual science, which means it is also mystical, in its interconnectedness, the holistic wisdom link between ourselves and the universe we inhabit.

By embracing Tantra, we become more “real,” more “complete.” How? By recognizing and stimulating our inherent sensual spirituality, we discover parts of ourselves that have remained asleep or have been repressed. With Tantra, an energy is released that is evolutionary and “upwardly motivated.” We can learn to use this energy for pleasure, for achieving our worldly goals, and for aiding our spiritual evolution.

Familiarity with Tantra can help a person to enjoy life to the fullest. It can help do away with guilt or fear, break down self imposed or limiting cultural boundaries, and guide us in our search for solutions. Tantra teaches us to become familiar with our mystical nature, and when we do so, our boundaries expand. We enter into new domains of awareness. We become empowered, more fulfilled, and more perfect.

Traditional dictionary definitions of Tantra are revealing. A Sanskrit word, Tantra is sometimes translated as “leading principle, essential part, model, system, framework, doctrine, rule, theory, scientific work,” also as “order, chief part, rule, authority, science, mystic works, magical formulas, means, expedient, stratagem, medicine.” Finally, a Tantra is sometimes defined as “a type of mystical teaching set out mostly in the form of dialogs between a cosmic couple. intimate insightful dialogs, between God and Goddess, Shiva and Shakti, the male and female Tantric adepts, were at times written down and became known as Tantras. Naturally, these dialogs, being intimate, included sexual secrets as well as many other fascinating
topics.

Tantra has been well tested over thousands of years, not in worldly laboratories but in the laboratories of the human body, by Yogi scientists and Tibetan Lamas who were not driven by commerce but by the earnest desire for spiritual knowledge and liberation. Their observations and insights have been passed down to us.

The sacred Hindu and Buddhist scriptures known as Tantras provide detailed instructions on a wide range of topics, including spiritual knowledge, technology, and science. Their content is often paradoxical. In Tantra, science and mysticism go hand in hand, as do sensuality and asceticism. Just as advanced scientific treatises are difficult for the layperson to comprehend, so traditional Tantras require adequate preparation before they can be properly understood.

At the same time, Tantra can refer to any of a number of sacred texts in the Hindu, Jain and Tibetan Buddhist traditions. Many of these texts contain detailed guidelines for spiritual practice. From this perspective, Tantra is a vast body of spiritual and physical knowledge, encompassing an array of practices, including all forms of yoga. These practices are aimed at expan- ding consciousness and liberating oneself “through life and not through escape, using the body as an instrument.”

In Tantra, the energies of the body are used as the fuel for spiritual develop- ment.

In the West, Tantra is often called the “Yoga of Sex.” While there is a kernel of truth in this phrase, the popular press has created a misleading impression that Tantra is about having better orgasms or about becoming a better lover. Since Tantric practices are designed to expand consciousness, they can expand a person’s capacity to give, receive and experience pleasure, not only in the sexual realm but in all areas of life, provided that person is willing to do the work.

Many contemporary Tantra teachers emphasize very powerful techniques for enhancing sexual pleasure and intimacy, while some traditional teachers discourage students from exploring sexual Tantra at all.

Frequently Asked Questions on Tantra:

What is Tantra?
The spiritual art of love…of connecting spirit with form. It is experiencing love through through the beauty of the earth and all existence. It is about acceptance, rather than deniel. It also embraces compassion…about truth within unconditional love…

What are its elements? Is Tantra a yoga?
Some call it Tantra Yoga. If we see yoga as union, then I agree. Others say Tantra is not a part of Yoga, which most people see as Hatha Yoga anyway, but rather an entire lifestyle. Many in the yoga community consider Tantra “something they would rather not deal with,” so to speak. So, in that sense it is not about yoga as practiced in America, unless that yoga teacher also embraces the openess an sensual nature of Tantra.

Is Tantra a religion, or a movement within religion(s), or is it entirely separate from religion?
Tantra is not a religion. It is a spiritual path. When religion enters, then barriers are drawn. However, some call Tantra a religion, although there is no organized body of thought or practitioners as such. Tantra cannot be encapsulated into a religion or dogma.

What is the exact relationship between Tantra and sexuality?
In Tantra, sexuality is total and filled with bliss. However, Tantra is not about sex. Sex practiced or performed in Tantra is what is taught by most teachers of this spiritual lifestyle. By some Yogins sexual ignition energy is used as a tool to raise the Kundalini, or the participants bioenergy. Some practitioners simply use this energy as a tool. At some point Tantrikas experience a bliss-filled state that can be identified as asexuality. Perhaps because of general sexual suppression by cultures and religions, ancient carvings in Nepal and India depicting unbridled sexual sharing create indelible labels. Some Tantrikas do not engage in sex at all.

Is Tantra an attitude, a belief, or a practice?
No belief. It is an attitude and there are practices, in sex, and many other areas of life that can be used as tools. Many of these include contemporary conscious psychotherapeutic methods, as well as Eastern philosophy and techniques, such as pranyama, yantra, mantra, etc., as well as simply applying expanded consciousness to one’s existence.

Are there common elements in its practice, if it has any? If so, how do these relate to any common attitudes or beliefs? When you say you “practice” Tantra, what do you do exactly?

Tantra is a lifestyle of letting-go, feeling a oneness with everything. If we were to relate Tantra to life in general, we would say there is much more lay-back living, more enjoyment of our sensual nature, a sexual freedom which follows a lifestyle of let go as well. Practicing Tantra is to walk our talk…to visualize others as Divine… to meditate, get and give and receive massages ..and to say YES! more often…to seek for the purest, highest quality of life, yet to accept whatever we have…and to feel our Divine nature…God…Goddess.

Origins/Ideals:

Where and when did Tantra start, if it had an origin?
While there are many opinions, there is no real beginning as such. See articles and books, particularly the Hindu vedas, and the spiritual philosophy of Tilopa and Milaropa. However, it is now known that using sexual-heart energy of the Kundalini for transcendence and connecting with God or Divinity was known by many cultures throughout the world. There are references to it in both the new and old testament’s of the Bible, in the Koran, the Bhagavagita and countless other spiritual texts.

Are there certain types of cultures where it arises?
Interesting question. Tantra seems to arise and gain interest when we have gone too far with our material world. More of the lay-back, natural cultures like the Cherokees and Polynesians follow a similar lifestyle. Some pagan traditions also do. Whenever civilization has filled its members with fear, Tantra becomes popular. It is something we all experience at one time or another in our lives. Now, in Russia, Tantra has become very popular.

Are there historical or fictional people associated with its origins?
You can see glimpses of Tantra in Krishna’s playfulness with the dakinis, and Jesus, no doubt, was also a Tantrika based upon his words of love and his association with Mary of Magdalene and Veronica of Nazareth. Tilopa, Naropa and Milaropa also were the so-called original messengers of Classical Tantra. However, even with the writings of Sir Richard Burton, much has been lost to antiquity

Is there an ‘ideal’ Tantra, regardless of how it manifests today? If so, what is this like?
Returning to the Biblical Garden of Eden, or a vision of Nirvana or Heaven. A community of people filled with unconditional love, bliss, a joy of life, tenderness and acceptance of all. Enjoying the good life, so to speak, unaddicted yet experiencing with totality and enlightened, of course [chuckle].

Is there an objective or ideal focus of a Tantrika? If so, what is it?
Not really. Maybe enjoying God’s existence at every moment and allowing enlightenment to occur in the process. Becoming aware…awake. Follow a form of mantra or yantra meditation, eat a proper vegetarian diet, be gentle and find love within you at each moment. The lifestyle itself is the gift and path….

What are the essentials of ‘Tantric philosophy’ if there is such a thing?
Same as above.

How does this relate to other Eastern or Western philosophies?
Most philosophies and religions have a dogmatic point-of-view of existence. Eastern and Western philosophies are tied up in dogma. Tantra is about dropping dogma, and simply being in bliss. This is difficult to talk about since all talk is the beginning of a philosophy. Philo from the Greek language means “life” and “sophy” from sophic represents study. In Tantra life in its totality is beyond study… It is experience.

Sociological/Cultural:

Are there certain sects of religious traditions which consider themselves or are considered by others to be ‘Tantric’?
Yes, many. Yogi Bhajan of the 3HO organization (adapted from the Sikh tradition) considers his path “white” Tantra. Pagan traditions call it Tantrik practice, Tibetan Buddhists follow a Tantra path (commonly called yellow Tantra), and aspects of Voodoo and Santamaria use similar practices as in black Tantra, and the worship of Kali, the destroyer. This is only a sampling. There are many texts available on Classical Tantra in new age book shops and select libraries. Swami Virato follows the path of red Tantra…for the passion of flesh and spirit.

Are there Western forms of Tantra or rough equivalents?
Not really. Perhaps what is being taught by most teachers today could be called Western forms. Quodoshka was a similar form practiced by Native Americans (Cherokee).

Can Tantra be found in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Taoism? If so, in what forms and characters?
Yes. Read the various texts. Some say Tantra predates all of them.

Why do people get excited and mention sex when they hear the word Tantra?
Because sex sells, and most Tantra teachers accent this portion of the Tantric lifestyle in their courses, workshops and seminars. However, Tantra is much more than sex.

What inhibits Tantra, what stimulates it, and what kinds of people are more likely to practice it?
Fear and a closed mind inhibit living the Tantric life, while dance, other movement, meditation and pranyama (various breathing techniques) stimulate it. People who are adventurous and open are more likely to connect to a Tantric lifestyle.

Is it possible for Tantra to die out?
Never!

Tantra in the eyes of Great Recent Tantric – Dr. Narayan Dutt Shrimali:

A hypothesis and the principles derived out of it make the rock bottom of any systemised knowledge. When the same principle is ascertained as law, it is rendered the form of pure science. Now it is clear that science is the knowledge brought under general principles through minute analysis and experimentation.

Tantra is an eminent science having thousands of principles. In fact, it is the system of our life and a science of practice and practical knowledge. Through Tantra, we can attain superb powers by attracting and deriving the divine faculties pervading the entire cosmos. The aspirant of Tantra makes his internal capacity sharp and intensely forceful just like a magnet. This science is the process of activating the various dormant vital glands and Chakras of the astral form, present inside the human body. It makes us aware of the truth that a person can get liberation from his own subjugation, can achieve immense power and even with the physical body present, can free himself from his body and expand his faculties infinitely.

Each and every element of the nature is associated with the other. Every action has a definite basis and for that action, there also exists an equal and opposite reaction. This uninterrupted succession of atomic process is going on in our atmosphere. Formation of water vapours, rain from the clouds due to attraction between positively and negatively charged atoms, storms, tempest and earthquakes, all are interrelated to each other.

Tantra is the process of intensification of our peculiar inner potentialities so that we can command this atomic arrangement which in other words is known as ‘Siddhi’. The flow of energy is going on ceaselessly in the environment and when your own inner energy becomes capable of influencing the external ones, nothing will remain impossible for you and this is the science of Tantra in which the aspirant’s wish is first and foremost.

Fear of Tantra is baseless:
The notions of an ordinary person about Tantra are not worthy to mention as this science of power has been misused very much. Those who are quite conversant with Tantra, by awakening their internal cosmic faculties, acquire knowledge to progress ahead and by activating the internal Chakras become ultimately successful in attaining Self realisation and thereby Supreme Bliss, whereas the imperfect Tantriks focus their attention towards the leftist part which hitherto has been utilised by such Tantriks in causing pain and harm to others and in achieving sensual enjoyment. Thus they involve themselves in a wrong direction. Although they can cause damage to the common men, yet eventually such Tantriks undergo severe sufferings and their lives get highly miserable.

This is human nature that every person focuses his attention first on the bad aspect of any subject and not on the virtuous one. This attitude proves harmful to them. As I have said earlier that Tantra is a process of activating internal cosmic faculties of the invisible world and making them favourable for oneself. During this process, that vigorous energy at first affects the person who is trying to overpower it and if at that time the aspirant does not get frightened, the divine energy itself behaves like a slave and then performs all the miraculous deeds at the will of the aspirant. To explain further I am citing an illustration- If you go outside during winter without wearing woollen clothes, what will happen? The frozen particles of cold wave will fall violently upon you and you will fall sick. But in case you are totally prepared- you have a healthy physique covered with woollen clothes, cold cannot affect you in any way and you will proceed ahead without any fear. The same is the case with Tantra. If you are not afraid, have the required equipment and also a sound knowledge then Tantra is the easiest way for you to acquire the divine powers.

To emerge successful in Tantra, fearlessness as well as elevation of inner consciousness are absolutely essential because in this Sadhana, the power is to be evolved from within.

Confidentiality in Tantra:
In our ancient scriptures, there is great emphasis on the fact that the real Tantra should be kept confidential. What is the reason behind this secrecy? If this science has got usefulness, it should be popularised and propagated everywhere, every person should have its knowledge. But this is not the case. What is the reason behind it?

The real Tantra and its secrets were passed on verbally by the competent Guru to his disciples only. The disciples memorised that science and also got realisation of ‘Siddhi’ but the Guru got his disciples to promise that this knowledge would be granted to only those who really deserved it. So they had this relevant argument behind their secrecy. As I have written above that every action has equal and opposite reaction. For example if you disturb anyone – tease a dog, bull or snake, it will certainly attack you. You should have strength to fight them and ultimately bring them under your control. The same is true for Tantra. If a suspicious, weak and fearful person starts Tantra Sadhna, he on experiencing some distress or crisis, generally leaves it midway and thus puts himself in danger due to reversible reaction of the Sadhna because at that moment the inner energy of the aspirant is feeble and so is easily overpowered by the external forces. This is the reason why only a competent Guru is capable to impart the knowledge of Tantra. A Guru minutely and completely analyses the disciple and on getting assured that his disciple would never misuse that power, he starts teaching Tantra Sadhna. Immediately after getting success, the aspirant becomes very much energetic and his vigorous activities must be utilised for public welfare as well as for Self Realisation and not for causing harm to others.

Due to the afore mentioned reasons, the methods of Tantra Sadhnas have been written incompletely, or in symbols and one, who performs Sadhna according to what is written in scriptures can never be successful as the complete knowledge can be attained only through the guidance of a Guru.

How Tantra became a taboo? What then happened in between that has made Tantra a taboo today ?
Perusal of the past reveals that after Gorakhnath pseudo gurus like Bhayanand started the misuse of Tantra and thus got introduced vile practices like meat eating, sex and money spinning into the system. These false Tantriks not just used these rather expounded that without them success is impossible in field of Tantra. These unconscientious one’s even stooped so low as to resort to drinking, rape and swindling.

It was then but natural for the common man to keep distance from such practicers who were unfortunately more in number than real masters of Tantra. Soon society began to shun Tantra and a belief was generated that Tantra itself is a vile practice and has no useful applications in life.

But the problem was not with Tantra rather with the charlatans who used Tantra as an excuse to give vent to their beastly cravings. In fact Tantra is a science that can instill totality in life. A question may arise that when there are Mantras to procure divine blessings why do we need Tantra?

Wise and capable persons do not come to their conclusions in a moment, but only after a careful analysis of any thing. When the left wing of Tantra got predominant and those, who were keen to do these leftist Sadhnas for their petty and selfish ends, did not get success, they turned into big critics of Tantra and only those persons created misconceptions about Tantra.

Apart from this, the British education and Moghal’s culture had an attack on the fundamental elements of Indian society i.e. religious rites, Mantra, Tantra etc. They were aware of the fact that this great science of Vedas, Upnishads and Mantras was responsible for the highly elevated Indian culture, so they thought that if they circulated misconceptions against this science, the Indian people would spontaneously become slaves and unfortunately they succeeded in their evil mission. It should be remembered that psychological subjugation is more dangerous than physical one and this was the mental dependence which caused our deterioration from the heights of prosperity.

The objective of ‘Mantra Tantra Yantra Vigyan’ is to present the proper and complete knowledge of these occult sciences in simplest form before the people so that they themselves verify it and emerge successful in life through it’s use. Only then this science will flourish and we will get deliverance from mental over subjugation and will also regain our self respect and an exalted spiritual stature.

The Real Benefits of Tantra:
Tantra is basically the source of energy and if you master this science, you can easily conquer your materialistic obstacles, other persons can be influenced by you and their activities can be channelised according to your own will. The harmful effects of planets, influences of an evil eye and evil spirits can be removed. It is also helpful as a remedy of mental tension, unbearable pain and other physical and psychological ailments. The scope of Tantra is very wide including Vashikaran, Maran, Ucchattan, Hypnotism, Divine Vision etc., which in many ways are beneficial in modern life.

In fact, Tantra leads to the path of self surrender and it pertains to all the aspects of physical and parapsychological life. Life, a divine gift bestowed upon by the Almighty can be fully purposeful by regenerating one’s inner creative faculties and giving ‘Karma’, a predominant role in our lives and this is the genesis of life’s purposefulness and success.

“One who fears Tantra cannot be a human; and a Sadhak he never can be. In the times of Guru Gorakhnath Tantra was a much respected science popular in all stratas of society for it has in it solutions to all problems of life.

Actually Mantra is a prayer, it is a request put to the concerned deity to help one. But it is not necessary that the deity shall be moved by one’s plea. On the other hand if one uses Tantra one could compel the divine power to help. Tantra in fact is a guarantee that the concerned deity shall without fail have to shower its blessings.

A prayer may fail to touch the heart of the deity but Tantra forces it to grant the desired boon. The Sadhanas in Tantra and Mantra methods might appear similar yet Tantra is a thousand fold more powerful and unfailing.

Tantra gains all the more significance in the present times when every person has no spare time on hands. One cannot be expected to devote several hours each day to long Sadhana procedures. Today every one wishes for instant success and Tantra sure can bring it ; for Tantra means performing a Sadhana by a special meticulous procedure. Nothing is left to chance and all aspects are taken care of, so that success is sure and instant.

Still if due to human weakness some imperfection creeps into the Sadhana or Mantra chanting there are no negative results as is often (wrongly) believed by most people. Only result shall be that the desired wish shall not be fulfilled, but then one could try again.

Tantra is a jewel of the Sadhana world that can solve quickly and effectively all problems of human life like poverty, misery, unhappy married life, being childless, jobless, failure in business or health and so on. To resort to Tantra means adopting a sure way to success.” – Dr. Srimali

Playing on The Road Less Traveled

“What does a life of total dedication to the truth mean? It means, first of all, a life of continuous and never ending stringent self-examination. We know the world only through our relationship to it. Therefore, to know the world, we must not only examine it but we must simultaneously examine the examiner.” (M. Scott Peck, The Road Less Traveled, Openness to Challenge chapter) Duncan has been my guide on just this path of self-examination and ever expanding openness, bringing forth my inner child to help heal the woman of today. On one beautiful hot summer day he proclaimed that the next step on my road was to get in touch with Mother Nature and to root myself into the earth herself. From Ecstasy to Enlightenment by By Rev. Keith Hall

What is it with Americans and sex? We appear to crave it, are fascinated by it and simultaneously fear it with every fiber of our being. We use it in advertising to sell everything from automobiles to zucchini, yet often prohibit our children from learning about it, our teachers from teaching it, and ourselves from discussing it publicly in any truly meaningful way. Movies with extremely graphic violence and gore receive an R rating; depictions of erotic play between mature consenting adults often receive an X. Yet the fascination remains. What issue of Cosmopolitan doesn’t promise new ways to attract and keep your lover, to have bigger and better orgasms, to cook, clean, and dress for sexual success? What neighborhood bar isn’t rife with the boys alternately telling ribald jokes and creating a swaggering sexual mythos about themselves? Continue reading “From Ecstasy to Enlightenment by By Rev.
